Learn the fundamentals of photographic lighting and see how new sensor, camera, and lighting technologies are dramatically expanding the expressive potential of the medium. Explore natural lighting, additive lights, and a new concept of “subtractive” lighting in Manual mode based on new technologies

Class takes place online via Zoom software. Participants are sent a link and preparatory information in advance. 

Michael Gilbert is a highly successful photographer who loves illustrative portraiture and divides his time between his studio in Hawaii and Paris. Michael has had a one man show at the International Museum of Photography has been a headline speaker for Imaging USA, WPPI, Photokina, and Photo Plus. He teaches for Pacific New Media, Passport to the Arts, and engagements world-wide. He loves working with students and doing small seminars in unique and amazing locations.
