Pandemic Portal

These images are my reflection of 2020-2021, a pandemic portal of the environment we continue to create and nature’s resiliency.  While most of our economy was slowed or shuttered, our views were left mostly unobstructed – construction continued as “essential work”; the infill of Kaka’ako continued, Waikiki was open for viewing without the layers of visitors, Chinatown’s architectural heritage, prominent again.

Nature had a break; nearshore waters cleared, beaches were again a refuge, and local wildlife ventured out to reclaim some of their previous habitat.  Lessons learned?  We shall see – to be continued.
