This course covers the core visual language of photography and explores how dynamic, contemporary trends in the medium can inspire and improve your work. Awaken your creativity and generate images that exceed your expectations. Explore the fundamentals of personal expression through photography and discover your unique vision. Investigate the key elements of the visual language through assignments, slide presentations, and individual critiques for a wide range of personal and professional applications. The cultivation of an individual style and point of view is emphasized.
Learning to make effective photographs ideally takes place with some hands-on experience and knowledge of the living history of photography. What photographers can expand your work and enliven your understanding of visual expression?
Prerequisite: A basic familiarity with your camera. Open to all levels from novice to professional. All camera types are welcome, including cell phones.
