Expand your photographic vision and potential for image-making. Learn to manipulate the camera’s shutter speed and capture long exposures. See the world through extended time, study photographers who have worked with long exposures, and experiment with your own equipment in this hands-on and creative session.
Please bring a digital camera with manual capabilities to class, a capture card, and a tripod (only if you have one.)
Alison Beste is a faculty member at Mid Pacific Institute where she teaches photography and design courses. She also instructs photography workshops for National Geographic Student Expeditions, Pacific Media Arts, and Honolulu Museum of Art School. Alison’s photographs have exhibited and won awards in Hawai’i and on the mainland. Her body of work Oil Tanker Sunsets was featured at the Artists of Hawai‘i exhibition at the Honolulu Museum of Art in 2015. www.alisonbeste.com
