Eiben Hall, Room 110, Chaminade University
Cost: $135
Instructor: Tracy Wright Corvo
With the right tools and good communication, you really can take portraits anywhere and at any time. Learn the art of photographing people and gain insight into what makes a good portrait.
This workshop focuses on communicating with the subjects, capturing emotion, creating mood through lighting, using the environment effectively, and understanding the often overlooked editing process. Explore both the technical and creative aspects of creating great portraits through a combination of lecture and hands-on shooting with models, plus a demonstration of a few simple post-production techniques done in Adobe Lightroom that will help you to help enhance your portraits.
Please bring your camera ( NOT AN IPHONE) and an empty digital capture card. Please do not bring a card with 100’s of images on it. Bring a reflector if you have one. A white piece of foam core size ~16×20 works great.
Prerequisite: A basic familiarity with photography, and you should know how to operate your camera.
