Instructor: Mark Arbeit
Explore different types of studio and outdoor lighting techniques. Learn how to direct your subject to get the best out of them. Consider different types of lighting for varying expressive intents, for male and female subjects.
Mark Arbeit walks you through choosing the right lighting for your subject. The second half of the workshop involves going outside and photographing portraiture with natural lighting: open shade, direct sun, back lighting, dapple lighting. Mark demonstrates lighting and directing subjects, then participants experiment with portraits and lighting. Arbeit assists in how to choose the right lighting for your subject in both studio and the natural environment.
