Join the instructor for this special class that celebrates the new direction of PNM. Through a shared creative experience, deepen your involvement in photography with well-proven lessons and exercises to take your creative work to the next level.
Learn to make images with passion and purpose. Develop your personal perspective and vision into powerful, meaningful images using both conscious awareness and an intuitive understanding of visual elements. This intensive workshop is for those willing to make a vigorous (substantial, significant) commitment to engaging creativity and cultivating a cohesive set of images.
Through response and critique, lectures, individual assignments and, exploring editing and sequencing, you can expect to see growth of your vision and content into greater expressiveness and depth. With your permission, the instructor (kindly) pushes you, supports you, and challenges you to a new level of creative development.
For a preview of class content, read the essay On Learning Photography on the instructor’s blog, www.theslenderthread.org.
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of photography and a commitment to the creative growth and development of your image-making, or anyone who has taken previous PNM photography classes. Please bring 6-8 recent jpeg images of your work on a thumb drive to the first class.
