Explore all aspects of making digital images, from creative camera use through post-processing images. Gain an understanding of digital photography concepts, including composition, depth of field, aperture, shutter speed, and camera settings. Review camera types, resolution needs, image size and quality, file formats, ISO settings, exposure controls, color correction, white point balance, and manual shooting modes. Learn to see with a camera.
The morning session includes lecture, demos, and field work. Afternoon session introduces procedures for downloading and managing your images as well as basic techniques for color and tonal correction.
Please bring your camera and a blank memory card.
David Ulrich is a core faculty member and creative director for Pacific New Media. He is an active photographer and writer whose work has been published in numerous books and journals. Ulrich`s photographs have been exhibited internationally in over 75 exhibitions.
