Conversations with Flowers

When I began this project, it was a way for me to return to what brought me to photography in the first place. The slow process of focusing and seeing color and light shift throughout the day was what drew me in and in the process of making a living, I lost that part of my practice. Ive always been drawn to flowers because of their short fleeting life cycle and when I approached sisters Tessa and Zena to photograph their family farm, what started as a one day exploration has turned into an extensive project that examines not only the lives of these sisters on their farm but examines the concepts of relationships, time, grief and healing.
